It was the best place in Vegas for breakfast. The thing I miss most is the unexplained closure of the garden restaurant (and right after a really good article about it appeared in The New Yorker magazine). It is a nice place with friendly, helpful staff and a beautiful wildlife habitat and pool area. Unless something happens and my wife prevails on me to try a new place, I don't plan to stay anywhere but the Flamingo in the near or even distant future. There is also a monorail station at the Flamingo. You could have a really good time never leaving the four block area where the Flamingo is, including the exit from the Flamingo directly onto the Linq Mall. Location, location, location - For my money there is no better location than the center strip. We like the decor of these rooms and, even more important, the fact they are so functional. As was the case the last 2 times we stayed there, we got a Go Room with a king bed. I have to say this most recent visit convinced me The Flamingo is the best value on the strip. ![]() Now, such representatives are only a mild distraction easily dismissed. We instituted a hiatus on staying there in the 1990s when you literally could not walk across any public area without being accosted several times by salespeople hawking the then new timeshares behind the Flamingo. ![]() We've stayed at many hotels on the Vegas strip over the years since the 70s, including several stays at the Flamingo.
